Buzziest CES 2025 Tech and Trends
At CES 2025, it finally became clear that AI is not just a trend but the foundation upon which most new technologies are being built. AI is reshaping our world in profound ways from the factory and office, to the home, to the vehicle and beyond. We're seeing exciting developments in processing power, and AI-driven areas like robotics, spatial computing, and beyond. Let's dive into our picks of the most game-changing tech and trends from this year’s show.
The Buzziest Announcement at CES
It’s hard to go past NVIDIA’s massive series of announcements at its CES keynote. Firstly, there was Project DIGITS, a $3,000 personal AI supercomputer designed for AI researchers, data scientists, and students. It's powered by the new GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, delivering 1 petaflop of AI performance, which is powerful enough to run ChatGPT-sized models on a regular power outlet. This device is intended to bring powerful AI capabilities to individuals, democratizing access to AI development tools.
NVIDIA also unveiled Cosmos, a platform for building "physical AI" for robotics and self-driving cars, which Jensen Huang refers to as "the ChatGPT moment for robotics". The company is positioning itself not only as a leader in AI hardware but also in the software and platforms that drive the intersection of AI and the physical world.
“The ChatGPT moment for general robotics is just around the corner…If we have the technology to solve these three [agentic robots, self-driving cars, and humanoid robots], this will be the largest technology industry the world has ever seen.”
